Andrew meets Oxford campaigners against the gagging law.
They handed over the local 38 degrees petition calling on the government to drop the anti-democratic provisions of its Bill, and to support the recommendations of the Commission on Civil Society and Democratic Engagement chaired by Lord Richard Harries, former Bishop of Oxford.
Andrew said: "I totally support the many consituents who have contacted me on this. It is outrageous for this Tory/Lib-Dem government to be trampling on democratic rights. Their Bill would stop campaigning groups, charities and trade unions from from making the voices of citizens heard on crucial issues of the day. It must be stopped. I will continue to campaign and vote against the damaging provisions of the Bill."
