Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for International Development, called Andrew a ‘model constituency MP’ when he visited Oxford yesterday. 

In a thank you speech to Labour student activists, Mr Alexander spoke of the Labour Party’s values and the importance of the support Andrew has from right across the community.

He said Andrew was a model constituency MP which other constituencies would love to have.

Mr Alexander made the speech during an un-scheduled visit to Oxford to recognise the fantastic efforts of students in helping Andrew’s campaign.
