Andrew on Wednesday spoke in a debate in the House of Commons on the changes to junior doctor contracts being pushed through by the government.
Andrew has received many representations from concerned doctors and patients about the impact of the changes, and has taken the matter up with Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Health. He recently met with 250 junior doctors at the John Radcliffe hospital to discuss the issue.
Andrew says: "It is unwise for the government to spend so much money training new doctors, only to have some of them thinking about doing abroad to practise instead because of conditions within the NHS. We need to ensure safety for patients and fairness for doctors."
