Andrew Smith has cut the ribbon to open the new School Library at Windmill School, Headington. It is the first time the school has had a proper library. It is the product of a lot of
hard work and fund-raising by parents, governors, staff and friends fo the school.
Andrew said: "It was great to open the library and share in the enthusiasm of the children. The Library is wonderfully light and airy, with a great range of books. Volunteers have
bar-coded all the fiction so children can borrow the books to take home, using the new computerised record system.
"When we did hi-hip-hooray for Windmill School, with all the children sitting in the sunshine looking in on their new library, you could feel all that is good in a well-run and happy school, and
the good start it is giving these children in their lives. Well done Windmill School."
