St Ebbe's School pupils who had visited the Houses of Parliament got the chance to ask Andrew Smith questions about the work of an MP.
Andrew met the children on a visit to the school. He said "They asked really good questions. They wanted to know what qualities an MP needed, which were the most rewarding aspects of
the job, and which the most difficult."
"Their visit to Parliament had clearly left an impression. We a good discussion about how it was that the Monarchy had given up, and had taken away, its powers of day-to-day government,
and the role of MPs in calling government to account."
"I'd say we have some good budding MPs for the future in St Ebbe's - always a happy school to visit, and nice to see it doing so well. It is really impressive how the
school helps every child make the most of their potential."
