Local residents get the benefit of Labour's investsment in the NHS.
I was really pleased to perform the officical opening of The Leys Health Centre. The new centre is a real boost to NHS patients in this part of Oxford. It is great to see the local
medical team and all the staff, who do such a good job, in first rate accommodation.
The Health Centre is a £3 million facility, housing GP practices and community nursing, as well as other services like podiatry, speech and language therapy and advice and counselling
services. There is brand new pharmacy as part of the development.
The Centre replaces the old centre in Blackbird Leys Road, which is no longer big enough for the needs of the area.
The artwork mosaics by the entrance were the work of local children, guided by former nurse and local artist Becky Paton.
