Andrew Smith MP today visited the new-look Oxford Post Office and praised the branch's recent modernisation as "good news for the community".

The team at Oxford Post Office, located at 102 - 104 St Aldates, are now able to serve customers in brighter and more pleasant surroundings, following an extensive refurbishment as part of the Post Office's major investment programme.

Andrew said: "I was pleased to visit the team here at Oxford Post Office and formally to open the refurbished premises. The modernisation of the branch is good news for the community. It has a better layout and system for helping customers to the right service point. The brighter, more welcoming, open-plan environment and new self-service options should mean both customers and staff at Oxford Post Office can have a better environment for quality service.

The new-look branch now has new open-plan counters, as well as a dedicated counter to accept mails. Four new self-service kiosks have also been introduced, giving customers sending letters and parcels even more options as to how they access Post Office services, reducing queue times.
