Local MP Andrew Smith joined parents, children, staff and local support services in opening the new children's centre in Florence Park.

The new, state of the art, building provides wonderful facilities for children's care and play, together with provision for health, midwifery and community support.

Andrew Smith said, 'This fantastic centre is a dream come true for all of us who campaigned so hard when the previous centre here was threatened with closure.  This sucessful outcome is a tribute to local parents and staff who put so much into keeping this special centre in the great setting of Florence Park.'

Like other new children's centres in Oxford, the Florence Park facility will help ensure all our children get the best start in life.
