Andrew Smith MP opened the Fairtrade event at Templars' Square, Cowley, promoting Fairtrade products on sale in the Square and local shops like the Co-op.
Andrew said: "By choosing Fairtrade products, local customers are buying good quality goods and helping people around the world to secure a fairer price for their produce and better living and
working conditions."
Fairtrade products are worth £300 million in the UK and sales are growing rapidly.
"Through our choices when shopping, we can all help change the world for the better," Andrew Smith said.
